Anyone who knows anything about Shakespeare will know the memorable line from the Scottish Play; “By the pricking of my thumbs, / Something wicked this way comes.” Like with many other famous quotes from this play, it is the witches who speak truth and sense. After all, Hecate is their ‘mother’. And just as the Weird Sisters say, something wicked is coming, something wicked and queer.
We are starting this blog with three intentions – our own three-fold law, if you will – we want to talk about the links between Art (in the broadest sense of the term), Magick, and Queerness. We will draw on our own experiences, research, interests, and every now and then invite people that have more first-hand knowledge in the subjects we want to share.
The idea for this blog started over a year ago. We were on a double date, a few G&T’s deep, when we all decided we should start a podcast, discussing exactly what we will be doing here. Life happened, and it was put on hold, but now it is becoming a reality. However, we wouldn’t be doing this if it wasn’t for Rosie One, Rosie Two and Alice (thank you).
So, let the mischief begin!
